Public Employees Recognition Week
All of us at PSECU would like to take a moment to acknowledge Public Service Recognition Week. Starting in 1985, the first Monday through Sunday in May has been set aside to acknowledge, thank and celebrate all of the public service employees who make our communities, state and nation a better place to live.
These jobs are in the federal, state and local government sectors – here in Pennsylvania as well as all over the world. Day in and day out, these public employees provide us with a number of conveniences we sometimes take for granted but would sorely miss if they were not available. They not only provide us with these seamless essentials that we have come to depend on, they also provide, protect and defend that which we hold dear, our families, our homes, our liberties.
