PSECU/GF Employees Credit Union Merger Completed
Harrisburg, PA - The merger between GF Employees Credit Union (GFECU) and the Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union (PSECU) was successfully completed on May 1, 2008 according to Gregory A. Smith, PSECU President.
On February 27, 2008, the members of GFECU voted to merge with PSECU. Smith noted that this merger gives PSECU an opportunity to develop a relationship with the employees of Gannett Fleming and their families that extends well into the future. “We feel certain that these former GFECU members will view PSECU as a trusted financial partner and look to us to serve their needs.”
The GFECU Board of Directors viewed merging with PSECU as a golden opportunity said L. Edward Stom, President of GFECU Board. “While we were able to provide many of the products and services that our members wanted and deserved, the merger with PSECU presents opportunities for our members to have access to additional products and services such as debit/credit cards, online account access, Bill Payer, mortgages, etc.”
