With the recent landfall of Hurricane Gustav, thousands of people have been evacuated or displaced from their homes in the Gulf Coast. While this storm was not as powerful as first expected, there are more storms forming in the Caribbean that are expected to affect the Southeast. In light of this, PSECU has assembled information on organizations that are assisting in recovery efforts.
There are a number of ways you can get involved to assist these organizations, including making a donation using psecu@home's Bill Payer. You may also use the links below to one of the designated relief organizations to make a donation using your PSECU Visa® Capitol Card® or Check Card.
Below is an example of how to make a donation using Bill Payer to the American Red Cross National Disaster Relief Fund:
- Login to psecu@home®
- Click on the "My Bills" button
- Click on the "Add New Bill" button
- Enter "American Red Cross" as the Merchant Name
- Enter "20013" as the Merchant Zip Code
- Click on the "Search" button
- Select 'AMERICAN RED CROSS NATIONAL DISASTER RELIEF FUND PO BOX 37243 WASHINGTON DC 20013'
- Click on the "Next" button
- Click on the "Accept" button
- Select Payment Type - be sure to select "On Demand" for one-time only contributions
- Enter the Date to Send Initial Payment
- Enter "Disaster Relief" as the Reference Number
- Enter the Initial Payment Amount you would like to donate
- Finally, click on the "Submit" button

PSECU cannot guarantee that all donated funds will be used for any specific purposes, but instead relies solely upon the information supplied by the organizations themselves. PSECU is providing information that will make it easy for members to donate money or time. Before making any contributions, you should always check out the recipient of the contributed funds.
