Support Desk Intern

Position Type: Part-Time

Duties:

  • Log and work Level One PSECU trouble tickets from all departments of the organization.
  • Identify, investigate, research, prioritize and log all Level Two trouble tickets and to escalate them to the appropriate ITS unit/person.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Level One hardware and software issues.
  • Communicate all trouble ticket information clearly, thoroughly and in a timely manner to the ITS unit/person that will be handling the call.
  • Assist in building a knowledge base of solutions that peers can use to solve future tickets; and, therefore, reduce the need to escalate tickets.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a college student and currently enrolled in a accredited college or university majoring in Computer Information systems, MIS, or Information Sciences. Knowledge of the current versions of Windows XP, Windows 2003 Server, Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, Mac OS, etc.
  • Ability to accept flexible or extended work hours with little or no advanced notice.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills.
