Whether online or over the phone, applying for a mortgage will be easier if you've gathered a few items ahead of time. This list is just to get you started. As we work with you, additional documentation may be required.

About You And Your Co-Applicant:

• Social security numbers for all borrowers
• Annual gross income including overtime, bonuses, commissions, interest/dividend, retirement income and any other regular source of income.
• Your employment history for the past two years including income information (work numbers, paystub info)
• Asset information (bank information and balances)
• Liabilities (outstanding balances on credit cards, for example)
• Additional Real Estate you own including land. We will need to know the estimated value, property taxes, homeowners insurance, homeowners association dues if applicable and any rent collected on the property.
• $5 in the primary applicant's Regular Savings Share (S1) account

Property Refinance Transaction:

• Your current residence address, or addresses, for the past two years
• Type of home (single family, duplex, condominium for example)
• The year you purchased the property, its original cost, current loan and current payment
• Real estate tax figures (county, local, school, real estate)
• Estimate of homeowner insurance annual premium

Property Purchase Transaction:

• The price of the home you are buying, and how much your down payment will be.
• The new home property address.
• Type of home (single family, duplex, condominium for example)
• Real estate tax figures (county, local, school real estate)
• Estimate of homeowner insurance annual premium
• Amount of homeowners association dues if applicable

About Your Mortgage:

• Determine if you want fixed or adjustable rate
• Decide your term
• How many points do you want to pay?
• Are you locking or floating rate?

Document List:

• Year-to-Date pay stub, if salaried or hourly for all borrowers
• Current tax return, if self-employed for all borrowers
• Most current bank statement, brokerage investment statement or other liquid asset statement for all borrowers
• Copy of Sales Agreement signed by all buyers and all sellers, if purchase
• Copy of the Deed, if refinancing
• Copy of real estate and school tax receipts, if refinancing
• Copy of Homeowners declaration page, if refinancing
