Finances are often overlooked in emergency plans. These basics can help maintain financial stability in the event of a disaster.
- Know your employer's disaster plans:

-
- Cash sufficient for food, shelter and transportation for three days
- Traveler's cheques
- Change
- Have an emergency fund with a reserve large enough to cover your bills for three to six months.
-
- Keep lines of credit available.
-
- Keep important documents in a secure but accessible location:
-
- Driver's licenses
- Birth certificates
- Social Security cards
- Insurance policies
- Medical information
- Financial records
- Medical insurance cards
- Perscription cards
