PSECU Employees Show their Holiday Spirit
HARRISBURG, PA - November 21, 2007 - Over 50 employees and their families participated in the Harrisburg Holiday Parade on Saturday, November 17. This was the fourth year for PSECU's involvement in one of the largest holiday parades in Pennsylvania. The 2007 theme was "How We Celebrate the Holidays of This Season Across America." The employees of PSECU celebrated the season by experiencing the "Joy of Giving", the theme for the PSECU float.
The float was dedicated to the Interfaith Shelter for Homeless Families and to The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank. This decision was an easy one for PSECU, as its employees have supported these organizations for the past several years through internal fundraisers, food collections, and employee "adoption" of local families. Kendall Hanna, Executive Director for the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank and Linda Grundi, Director for Interfaith Shelter rode the float.
In addition to the float, the PSECU employees "escorted" Bear in the Big Blue House, a giant balloon float, through the streets of downtown Harrisburg. The parade will be broadcast on WHTM TV-27 on Thanksgiving Day.
