Press Release

PSECU/GF Employees Credit Union Merger Completed

HARRISBURG, PA - May 6, 2008

Dear Members:

Today, Friday, February 8, 2008, just before 7 a.m. a hazardous material spill occurred about a half mile from PSECU's main headquarters in Harrisburg. The roads into our facility were closed quickly and most of our staff was not able to get to the office. Authorities were not able to identify the spill for some time but initial reports indicated substances that were both highly toxic and highly flammable. With a concern for the safety of our staff, we released employees from work for the day.

At 9 a.m. our backup call centers in State College and Indiana opened and did an incredible job of handling our normal Friday call volumes. If you call in today, however, you may encounter a delay in having your call answered. Some of our specialized call centers like, our credit services and card services units are not staffed at all.

We will reopen tomorrow morning, Saturday, February 9, at 8 a.m. with the call centers running until 12 noon. If call traffic warrants it, we'll extend those hours.

As a reminder, all of our online services like psecu@home, online lending, the Self-Service Telephone, etc. are available.

Gregory A. Smith
President
