PSECU Participates in Children's Miracle Network Telethon
HARRISBURG, PA - June 11, 2009 - In keeping with the spirit of Credit Unions for Kids, a fundraising effort by the credit union industry to support Children's Miracle Network (CMN), PSECU participated in their local twenty-fifth annual CMN Telethon broadcast live on WGAL TV8. Participation included staffing the phone bank as well as presenting a mock check for $12,675.
In his presentation, John Marisic, PSECU Board of Directors Vice Chair noted the funds were representative of money raised through a "Foul is Fair" promotion with the Harrisburg Senators Baseball team, sale of 75th Anniversary logo wear as well as other fund raisers. Marisic noted, "What Children's Miracle Network does for local families and communities is very much in line with the Credit Union Philosophy of People Helping People. We believe in taking an active role in the communities that we serve and Children's Miracle Network is an embodiment of that spirit." Also presenting were PSECU Board members Kathy Salmon and Joseph Sassano.
