PSECU Employees Help Local Non-Profit Organizations on International Credit Union Day
HARRISBURG, PA - October 19, 2009 - Thursday, October 15 was International Credit Union Day. To celebrate, PSECU participated in several activities, including what is now an annual tradition: allowing employees to spend the day assisting local non-profit organizations.
In the Harrisburg area, 11 credit union volunteers spent the day at the American Red Cross of the Susquehanna Valley, the YWCA of Great Harrisburg, Children's Miracle Network, Neighborhood Center of the United Methodist Church, the Humane Society and the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank. In State College, 1 employee assisted The Second Mile, an organization whose mission is to help young people. In Indiana, Pennsylvania, 2 volunteers lent a hand at the Indiana County Community Action Program.
Barbara J. Bowker, Vice President of Marketing for PSECU, commented, "We're very proud of our employees who volunteered on International Credit Union Day.
