PSECU Announces Upgrades to Bill Payer Service

HARRISBURG, PA - January 5, 2010 - At this time of year, people are often thinking of ways to improve themselves and their lifestyle. With the economy affecting so many people, it's more important than ever to have firm control of one's finances and resolution time is a perfect time to take that control.

Because of PSECU's commitment to providing its members with tools that allow them to manage their money, the credit union is always looking for ways to add new services and improve the ones it already offers. One such improvement is upgrades recently applied to PSECU's Bill Payer Service available to members through psecu@home® online account access.

The upgrades are intended to give members even more control over their money while making it easier for them to keep track of the bills they need to pay. The new Bill Payer Service includes:

  • Nicknames for Bills: Members can assign a nickname to bills making it easier to track multiple bills paid to the same merchant.
  • Quick Summary: Provides a snapshot of important bill information such as outstanding payments, upcoming payments, and any bills coming due soon.
  • Quick Transfer: Gives the ability to transfer funds to checking right from the Bill Payer service page.
  • History Notes: Allows a note to be attached to a payment on the bill's Detail page giving members a helpful reminder about the purpose of the payment.
  • Bill Payment Reminder: Add a due date to a bill to serve as a reminder to members to schedule their next payment. Also gives the option of setting up e-alert reminders for upcoming bills.
  • Recent Payments: In addition to the last payment in each bill, members can use the individual bill's Detail page to view the last five payments made to that bill during the last 30 days.

The Bill Payer service improvements join a number of other free helpful tools that PSECU provides to its members, including the Visa® summary and free FICO® Score Service, both available through psecu@home.
