Harrisburg, PA - December 6, 2019 - PSECU is aware of a scam targeting financial consumers across the U.S. and Canada (including PSECU members) through which fraudsters pose as bank representatives in an attempt to deplete accounts and/or advance lines of credit. Our team is actively working to address the issue, educate our members on how to spot this fraud, and keep our members safe. We encourage anyone – PSECU members and non-members alike – to act with caution when receiving calls, emails, or other communications from anyone claiming to represent a financial institution and asking for account and/or personal information. If you receive this type of inquiry, do not engage. Instead, contact your financial institution using phone numbers published on their website or the back of your credit/debit card to ensure the security of your account.
