Harrisburg, PA (February 26, 2020) - Acting with our staff’s safety in mind, PSECU recently took precautions within our Harrisburg headquarters after one of our employees had been in contact with someone who recently traveled to Italy and may have been exposed to the Coronavirus. We understand the individual who traveled to Italy was tested for the virus and is not being quarantined.
The PSECU employee has not exhibited any symptoms of the virus and there is no reason to believe that this person has been exposed. However, as a cautionary measure, the employee will remain at home until the individual who was potentially exposed has been cleared.
To address the situation, we immediately reached out to the PA Health Line for direction and protocols. In addition, to safeguard our employees, we have heightened our cleaning and disinfection efforts in areas visited by the employee and have distributed hand sanitizer throughout the building.
We take seriously the health and well-being of our employees and the greater community and will take additional actions, if needed.
Our work continues to serve our valued members as a trusted financial partner.
