You can’t really earn money just for recommending your credit union…right?
Actually, yes. Yes, you can.
“I’ve referred at least five people because I’ve had no issues and the referral bonuses makes it inviting.” – Charles. E.
Let’s bust a common myth: Most people think choosing a financial institution is all about rates, products, or big-name brands. But in reality? People trust people more than any ad out there. In fact, according to Nielsen, around 9 out of 10 people say they trust recommendations from people they know more than traditional advertising. Whether it’s a friend raving about their credit card rate, or a family member swearing by their credit union’s customer service, word of mouth plays a huge role in where people choose to bank. And if you’re already happy with your experience, there’s a way to share it and get rewarded.
Talk, Share, Earn
Most members don’t realize it, but there’s an opportunity to earn cash by sharing what they love. If you're a PSECU member and someone you know joins because of your recommendation, you could earn up to $5001 per calendar year.
It’s easier than you think. Follow these simple steps to earn $50 per person who joins using your refer code.
- Get your unique referral link and share it with friends and family however you want – text, email, social media, or even in a quick conversation. It’s casual and on your terms.
- Tell them what you love most about being part of a credit union that meets you where you are, and how managing your money is easy.
- A few taps later, they’ve got your link. You’ll receive $50 for each referral who becomes a PSECU member.
Even better? They could earn $3002 bonus cash for joining!
Who Can You Share With?
Another myth we’d like to bust: “They probably have to work at a specific place to join.”
True…sort of. While PSECU does have eligibility requirements, there are many paths to membership.
You can join if:
- You live with or are related to someone who is already a PSECU member.
- You’re affiliated with one of the PA colleges or universities we serve.
- You work for one of the 1,000+ PA employers we partner with.
- You join, or are an existing member of, Pennsylvania Recreation and Parks Society or Pennsylvania Consumer Council.
(Not a member of our partner nonprofit organizations? Simply check the box during your PSECU application to join our partner nonprofit organizations and become eligible for membership without leaving the application page.)
So, chances are, someone you know is eligible.
Good Things Are Meant to Be Shared
You’re not “selling.” You’re just sharing your real-life experience with them. And when you do, you could both walk away with extra cash. So, if someone in your life is looking for better banking, now’s the perfect time to let them in on what you already know.
