At PSECU, giving back to our communities isn’t just something we do, it’s who we are. As a credit union rooted in the philosophy of “people helping people,” we believe our role goes beyond financial services. We’re here to create a meaningful impact across Pennsylvania.
Through donations, volunteer initiatives, and community partnerships, we’re committed to making life better for our members and neighbors.
One of the ways we give back is through the PSECU Chips In Golf Outing, our annual fundraiser that brings together employees, generous sponsors, and community members for a fun day of networking, philanthropy, and, of course, golf. Since its inception in 2017, the event has raised more than $410,000 to support causes that truly matter to our members and our communities.
“Every year, it’s inspiring to see how much the event has grown over the years, and the impact we make together,” said Karen Rousche, PSECU’s Community Engagement Program Manager. “It’s a true team effort, and a reflection of our commitment to giving back.”
Funds raised through PSECU Chips In and other initiatives support vital organizations such as the American Heart Association, Children’s Miracle Network, Feeding Pennsylvania, PA Envirothon, and Junior Achievement.
Beyond donations, we also encourage employee volunteerism and support programs that align with our members’ values.
We’ve established four areas of focus for our charitable contributions:
“Our members care deeply about these causes, and so do we,” adds Karen. “That’s why we focus our efforts where they’ll have the most meaningful impact. We’re always striving to build better lives for our members and our community as a whole.”
We’re on a mission to make Pennsylvania a better place to live, work, and thrive. Our commitment to community impact goes beyond financial services - it’s about making lives better.
“Living out the ‘people helping people’ philosophy is what sets us apart. Every effort, big or small, helps us build stronger communities,” Karen shares.
