What can I do with the PSECU Mobile app?

You can do most of your banking activities with our mobile app. For example, you can deposit checks with your phone's camera, make payments on a loan, move money between shares, pay bills with our Bill Payer service, and send money via a person-to-person transfer.

What happened to the old app (the one with the black icon)?

We removed the old app with the black icon from app stores when we launched the new app with the light blue icon. Members who downloaded our old mobile app before October 31, 2017 can continue to use the old app as long as they have it on their phone, but it will not be updated with the features of the new app.

Why do I have to download a new app instead of just updating the one I already have?

The new app is written in a different programming language than the old one. This meant that we had to release it as a new app and not as an update.

Why should I switch to the new PSECU Mobile app?

The biggest advantage of switching to PSECU Mobile is access to new features, both those that will be available on the day it is released and those that will be included in future updates. Since we removed the old app from app stores, we will not be releasing any future updates to it. Our old app is still safe and secure, but it will eventually become outdated.

Are there any new features that are only available in the new app?

Yes. The new PSECU mobile app offers all of the features offered in the old app, along with a few changes and new features.

  • New design with improved navigation
  • Enhanced Bill Pay features like Add a New Payee within the app
  • Ability to leave feedback within the app

I'm still not sure I should get the new app. Are you sure I'll like it?

While we can't guarantee it, we are pretty sure you'll like the new app. How do we know this? Over the past several months, we invited select PSECU members to help us test the new app and give us feedback during the development process. At the end, we asked them which app they preferred. The overwhelming response: they love the new app!

Where can I find help about using specific features in the new app like paying a bill or transferring money?

There's a separate FAQ inside the app with help on using specific features of the app. You can find it by logging in to the app and selecting "More" from the main menu. You can also look for a ? symbol in the top right corner when you're performing an action like paying a bill or transferring money.
