PSECU members enjoy the convenience of online banking as it allows them to manage their money when and where they want. And we're excited to announce new tools available in online banking that will make managing your finances easier than ever.
So you have a complete picture of the money coming in and out of your PSECU account, we enhanced the former Visa® Summary feature and renamed it "Financial Summary." All of the functionality you enjoyed before is still there, but now in addition to your debit and credit cards, you can select your shares and loans. View your Financial Summary under "My Money."
To make sure you get the most accurate view of your finances possible, you can now add a descriptive note about each transaction type and assign it to a category. Accessing this new feature is easy. Simply click the "Add Note" link underneath a transaction in your history page to get started.
You'll have more flexibility with your category selection, too. Though we automatically categorize the debit or credit card transaction based on the merchant information we receive from Visa®, you can now modify those categories. So if you actually purchased a snack instead of fuel at the gas station, you can make that update by clicking on the category that was automatically assigned.
We've expanded our list of categories to cover even more spending situations. However, if there is something you would like to add, click "My Profile," then select the "Preferences" option on the left-side menu. You can create up to 20 custom categories per account.
Please note that your note and category information is only for your reference and will not appear on your PSECU statement. We'll keep up to 18 months of history in online banking, but if you would like to save a copy for yourself, you can do so with the PDF and spreadsheet download options at the bottom of the history page.
We hope you enjoy the new features and that they'll continue to empower you to manage your account when and where you want, while giving you a more complete view of your finances.
