Tannersville, PA - November 2, 2015 - On August 17, 2015, PSECU opened a new Financial Education Center at Northampton Community College's Monroe Campus. This marks PSECU's 19th on-campus location. The location will provide PSECU assistance to students, faculty and staff who are eligible for membership in the credit union.
In addition to providing financial services, PSECU is committed to engaging with Northampton's Monroe Campus through internship opportunities for students, financial education workshops, and promotions such as Random Acts of Freeness. PSECU's paid on-campus internship opportunities will be available to students who are interested in gaining real-world experience in areas such as marketing and business operations. Financial education workshops will also be available for members of the campus community who are interested in learning more about managing their finances.
A grand opening celebration took place on September 29, 2015. The event included activities for students, faculty and staff. All members of the campus community are invited to visit PSECU in College Center, First Floor to learn more.
Opened in 1934, PSECU was founded by 22 ordinary people who made an extraordinary commitment to each other: To create a financial institution where pooled resources benefit all members. Today, we are a full-service credit union serving more than 400,000 members and have over $4 billion in assets. As a not-for-profit financial institution, our goal remains to help our members and their families achieve a better life.
Barb Bowker, PSECU's Vice President of Marketing, and Dr. Mark Erickson, Northampton Community College's President, enjoy the Grand Opening Celebration for PSECU's new Financial Education Center at the Monroe Campus.
