Harrisburg, PA - November 3, 2015 - PSECU is proud to announce that Margaret Delmonico, Director of Public Relations, received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2015 Women's Conference on October 24th. The conference is organized by the group Eye Candy Family.
Delmonico was nominated by Una Martone, President & CEO of Leadership Harrisburg, one of the many organizations with which Delmonico is involved. She was announced as the winner at the event. This is the second time in 2015 that Delmonico has been recognized for making a true impact in her community. In March of this year, she was recognized as one of the YWCA's 2015 Women of Excellence.
According to the conference's website, the Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes a woman who "displays long-term business success, strong community involvement, and demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in a changing environment." Delmonico certainly personifies these characteristics. At PSECU, where Delmonico has served for almost 37 years, she oversees community relations and sponsorships, media relations, financial literacy, scholarships, and Corporate Social Responsibility, as well as other special projects.
"If I may be so bold to say this - while I have been honored for my lifetime achievement, I have no intention of stopping any time soon," says Delmonico of the award. "I owe great thanks to those who have helped and encouraged me along the way and will do my best to pay it forward."
In the community, Delmonico serves on several Boards. She is the Chair of the Communications and Marketing Committee for the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, the Chair of the Resource Committee for Leadership Harrisburg Area, and also holds a seat on the Board of the Pennsylvania Credit Union Foundation. Delmonico belongs to the Rotary Club of Harrisburg, where she is a member of the Resource Development Committee, Membership Committee, and the "Every Sip Counts" project for clean water. This year, she also served as a member of the Gala Committee for the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet.
Opened in 1934, PSECU was founded by 22 ordinary people who made an extraordinary commitment to each other: To create a financial institution where pooled resources benefit all members. Today, we are a full-service credit union serving more than 400,000 members and have over $4 billion in assets. As a not-for-profit financial institution, our goal remains to help our members and their families achieve a better life.
