Harrisburg, PA - January 12, 2016 - PSECU is a proud sponsor of the 2016 "Fill a Glass with Hope" initiative. "Fill a Glass with Hope" is a partnership between Feeding Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Dairymen's Association, Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association, agriculture partners, and business leaders that aims to provide fresh milk to families in need in Pennsylvania.
The initiative launched on January 8th at the 100th Pennsylvania Farm Show and donations will be accepted at the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank's booth in the Main Food Court for the duration of the 2016 Pennsylvania Farm Show. The "Fill a Glass with Hope" initiative provides eight glasses of fresh milk to families in need for each $1 donation that is received. The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, which PSECU also sponsors, is a direct beneficiary of the funds raised through this initiative.
Opened in 1934, PSECU was founded by 22 ordinary people who made an extraordinary commitment to each other: To create a financial institution where pooled resources benefit all members. Today, we are a full-service credit union serving more than 400,000 members and have over $4 billion in assets. As a not-for-profit financial institution, our goal remains to help our members and their families achieve a better life.
Sara Weiser, PSECU's Public Relations Manager, Margaret Delmonico, PSECU's Director of Public Relations, and Shawn Baile, PSECU's Public Relations Coordinator, present PSECU's donation to the "Fill a Glass with Hope" initiative alongside Joe Arthur, the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank's Executive Director, and David Smith, the Pennsylvania Dairyman's Association's Executive Director.
