PSECU Encourages Strong Relationships with Youth and Police
Harrisburg, PA - July 27, 2016 - PSECU celebrated the opportunity to build strong relationships among the youth and police officers by participating in the Dancing with the Stars of Harrisburg fundraiser. This event was held on July 23rd from 4:30 - 9:30 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel Harrisburg in Camp Hill, and the proceeds supported Harrisburg Police Action League (PAL).
PSECU sponsored the second place winners, PSECU's Senior Business Development Manager, Mary Oliveira, and her husband, Paulo, in Dancing with the Stars of Harrisburg. "We are grateful to have one of our own PSECU employees actively engaged in making a difference within our community. This was such an extraordinary opportunity for relationships to be fostered for the better," added PSECU's Vice President of Marketing, Barb Bowker.
The Harrisburg PAL is a youth and crime program that utilizes educational, athletic and recreational activities to establish trust and understanding between police officers and youth. In fact, Harrisburg PAL states that if a young person respects a police officer on the ball field, gym or classroom, the youth will likely respect the laws that police officers enforce.
