PSECU Sponsors the 2016 Centre County Heart & Stroke Walk
State College, PA - November 4, 2016 - PSECU sponsored the American Heart Association for the 2016 Centre County Heart Walk on October 30th from noon to 4 p.m. at Penn State University.
PSECU has been involved with AHA for over a decade through their participation in both the Capital Region Heart Walk and the Centre County Heart Walk to support the mission of ending cardiovascular disease and stroke. They are proud to participate in such a great opportunity to come together in the community to make a difference. Team PSECU raised $1,219.

Barb Bowker, PSECU's Vice President of Marketing, serves as the Chair of the 2016 Capital Region Board of Directors. In the past, Bowker has served as Chair of the 2013 Capital Region Heart and Stroke Walk, as well as Chair of the 2015 Go Red for Women event. PSECU is committed to helping the American Heart Association impact communities, both locally and broadly. The credit union is in the midst of a three-year sponsorship of AHA that provides funds for initiatives such as Pre-Doctoral Fellowship Grants, CPR Anytime Training, Red Dress Movement, You're The Cure Advocacy, Get with the Guidelines, and Reaching Youth. These initiatives allow PSECU's support to reach beyond our local communities across the state of Pennsylvania to other parts of the country.
Opened in 1934, PSECU was founded by 22 ordinary people who made an extraordinary commitment to each other: To create a financial institution where pooled resources benefit all members. Today, we are a full-service credit union serving more than 400,000 members and have over $4 billion in assets. As a not-for-profit financial institution, our goal remains to help our members and their families achieve a better life.
