PSECU Sponsored Free Lunchtime Shuttles for 2017 Pennsylvania Farm Show

Harrisburg, PA - January 17, 2017 - For 10 years, PSECU has partnered with PennAg Industries and Capital Area Transit (CAT) to provide free lunchtime shuttle service for the annual Pennsylvania Farm Show. In the past, this service was designated for state employees as a way for us to acknowledge our founding membership group. In 2016, we opened this service up to the public.

The 2017 Farm Show shuttle service featured two routes - one from downtown Harrisburg, which ran Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and one from facilities along Elmerton Avenue, which ran Tuesday through Friday during the same hours. The shuttles provided riders with a free, convenient and environmentally friendly way to visit the Farm Show during their lunch breaks.

In addition to providing shuttle service, PSECU employees greeted riders upon arrival at the PA Farm Show Complex and distributed reusable tote bags to help them carry back food or other goods they purchased while onsite. For the second consecutive year, we collaborated with PennAg Industries to add a special bonus to some of these bags. For each day of shuttle service, 150 of the tote bags were randomly stuffed with a $2 coupon to be used in the Farm Show food court. There were also 25 coupons each day that highlighted a different item available in the food court, including the perennially popular milkshakes and baked potatoes.

Opened in 1934, PSECU was founded by 22 ordinary people who made an extraordinary commitment to each other: To create a financial institution where pooled resources benefit all members. Today, we are a full-service credit union serving more than 400,000 members and have over $4 billion in assets. As a not-for-profit financial institution, our goal remains to help our members and their families achieve a better life.
