PSECU Sponsors American Red Cross of Central Pennsylvania's Centennial Celebration Gala

Harrisburg, PA - April 4, 2017 - PSECU was proud to sponsor the American Red Cross of Central Pennsylvania's Centennial Celebration Gala. The event took place on March 30th at the Hershey Lodge.

The event was opened with video comments from Pennsylvania First Lady Frances Wolf, the Honorary Centennial Chairperson. Attendees then had the opportunity to experience a real-time Skype conversation with Paul Butler, who is leading current Red Cross efforts for Armed Forces personnel in the east African country of Djibouti.

Following dinner, retired United States Marine Corps Major General Douglas O'Dell, who was appointed by President George W. Bush to coordinate rebuilding the Gulf Coast following the devastation of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, delivered the keynote address. The evening's program concluded with the presentation of two awards. Community Aid, Inc. was recognized as Outstanding Partner of the Year, and Dr. Luther Sowers, who has been a Red Cross volunteer in York County for nearly 50 years, received the award for Volunteer of the Year.
