A Message from Our President & CEO – A Look Back at 2025 and the Year Ahead

Written by PSECU | Feb 12, 2026 3:41:52 PM

As we look back on 2025 and turn our attention to the year ahead, I’m reminded that what has always set PSECU apart, no matter the environment around us, is our unwavering focus on serving our members well.

The past year wasn’t an easy one for many households. With inflationary pressures and elevated interest rates, families across Pennsylvania were challenged to make thoughtful choices about how they manage their finances. Through it all, our commitment to being your trusted financial partner remained the same.

Protecting the Credit Union Difference

Last year, the industry’s not-for-profit tax status was challenged. With the support of industry partners and engaged advocates, we successfully held back such efforts, enabling us to continue delivering member value through lower fees, better rates, and continued investment in our communities. This milestone reinforces the importance the credit union model, which puts people over profits, plays in the communities we serve.

Prioritizing the Member Experience

Throughout 2025, PSECU stayed focused on delivering practical improvements to make everyday banking even easier, faster, and more reliable. We rolled out several new products and service enhancements including:

  • The opening of a full-service branch in Lemoyne and expanded services at our Cameron Street location

  • Two-way SMS (texts) messaging for real-time loan status updates

  • Expanded mobile deposit functionality

  • Access to even more surcharge-free ATMs

  • Personal relief loans for our members impacted by the government shutdown

Behind the scenes, we delivered strong organizational performance. Our digital systems maintained high availability, ensuring our members could access their accounts whenever and wherever they needed. Our contact center team assisted members with more than 1.7 million inquiries, answering them in an average of 45 seconds. We also achieved a record-high member satisfaction score, reflecting the dedication and care our employees deliver to our members.

Our focus on members’ experiences is also reflected in the growing list of accolades, including Newsweek’s 2026 list of America’s Best Regional Banks and Credit Unions for the third consecutive year, Forbes list of America’s Best-In-State Credit Unions 2025, and named to PA Business Central’s Top 100 Organizations for 2025.

Preparing for What’s Next

While 2025 was a great year for PSECU, we’re not done - we have plenty of exciting things planned for 2026!

This year, we started rolling  out personalized digital access, an important evolution of our digital banking experience. This member-requested enhancement will be available to everyone by March 2026.  Once fully rolled out, our members will be able to view their accounts in one place with a single, secure login, making it easier to move between accounts, transfer money, and manage finances. With this change, we will now offer unique login credentials for multiple individual owners on a single membership account. Keep a lookout for important announcements regarding this exciting change.

Later this year, we’ll continue expanding access with the opening of our new PSECU Linglestown branch at Susquehanna Union Green; this brand-new, modern space combines digital tools and human support to help make banking more convenient and help our members through life’s financial milestones. Additional details will be shared soon.

Looking Ahead Together

As we look ahead, our focus remains clear: We’ll continue listening to our members, investing thoughtfully, and making decisions with long-term value in mind.

On behalf of our employees and leadership team, thank you for your continued trust and membership. It’s a privilege to serve you, and we look forward to what’s ahead, together.
