Harrisburg, PA (February 16, 2024) – Debbie Houser, PSECU’s Digital Banking Program Manager, has been selected to receive the YWCA Greater Harrisburg’s 2024 Tribute to Women of Excellence award.

The Tribute to Women of Excellence award recognizes outstanding women in the Capital Region who devote time and energy to making the organizations and communities with which they’re affiliated better places to work and live.

As PSECU’s Chief Member Experience Officer and previous Woman of Excellence honoree, Barb Bowker depends on Debbie’s technical skills to deliver an essential member experience. Barb notes, “I wholeheartedly recommended Debbie for this award in recognition of her unwavering passion for women in STEM. Her contagious enthusiasm to drive women forward in the technology space not only inspires her peers but has also played a pivotal role in fostering a dynamic and collaborative environment among her team here at PSECU.”

With PSECU since 2022, Houser leads the digital banking team as they leverage design-thinking methodology to create seamless experiences for both members and non-members.

Outside of PSECU, she makes time to give back to the community. She volunteers at the Central PA Food Bank and participates with PSECU’s Financial Reality Fairs, interactive events designed to give high school students a taste of adult life. She also looks for opportunities to  encourage young women considering a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) career.

PSECU’s Chief Information Officer Rick Long says, “Debbie’s innovative approaches to problem-solving, coupled with her unwavering dedication and integrity, make her not just an exemplary leader but also a respected and inspirational figure within our organization. Being recognized as a Woman of Excellence stands as a testament to her impactful leadership and the profound respect she commands across the board.”
