Getting a refund is something eagerly anticipated by millions of taxpayers each year. Are you one of them?

Without a plan, it’s easy to fritter away that refund. Before that happens, check out our ideas for how you can make the most of your refund this year.

Save It

Options include:

  • Money Market – Stash your cash in a money market to earn higher dividends on your savings with as little as $500 and no long-term commitment1.

  • Certificates – Find a flexible term to fit any short- or long-term savings goal. Competitive rates help you achieve more.

Spend It

Spend with confidence when you use our checking and debit card products.

  • Free Checking – No minimum balance requirement, no-fee Overdraft Protection Transfer Service, and access to 70,000+ surcharge-free ATMs nationwide are just the beginning. Add checking in digital banking and fund your account for everyday spending.

  • Debit Card Rewards – For all of life’s expenses, pay with your debit card and you can earn $.10 on eligible purchases of $10 or over2.

Tackle Debt

Move money to pay down debt and put those interest payments back into your wallet:

  • Internal Transfer – Use the transfer feature in digital banking to make payments on PSECU credit cards and loans.

  • External Account Transfer – Make payments on credit cards or loans you have with other financial institutions.

  • Bill Payer – Use this free service to make non-PSECU payments directly from your checking account.

This tax season, you can spend your refund, save it, or use it to tackle debt. But really, you can take on all three goals any time during the year with our products and services. For money management tips, visit our Resource Center.
