Recently, we’ve seen an increase in PSECU spoofing scams, where fraudsters pose as PSECU representatives in the hopes of gaining access to your account or cash.
We have fraudsters impersonating PSECU via telephone. These fraudsters are calling members and acting like they are PSECU.
How to Prevent and Protect Yourself From Fraud

Here’s how you can play a role in securing your account:
- Alerts: Enroll in free account alerts via our digital banking platform for real-time notifications on account activities.
- Monitor: Regularly review your account and report any suspicious activity immediately at 800.237.7328. You can also lock your cards via our online banking or mobile app.
- Credit Score Service: Eligible members can sign up for our free monthly credit score updates in digital banking.
- Information Safety: Never share your sensitive information like passwords, PINs, card or account numbers, etc. We will never ask for these details unless you initiate the call.
- Communication: Be cautious of messages that induce fear or urgency, often a tactic used in fraudulent communications.
- Secure Access: Avoid using public WiFi or shared computers for digital banking. Always log out and close your browser after use.
- Device Security: Keep your device’s security features active and updated, including your operating system and anti-virus software.
- Report Suspicious Emails: Forward any emails impersonating PSECU to abuse@psecu.com. This inbox is for incoming messages only.

If your PSECU account is compromised, take the following steps:
- Contact Us: Immediately reach us at 800.237.7328 or send a secure message via digital banking.
- Lock Cards: Prevent further fraudulent transactions by locking your debit or credit card(s) through our online banking or mobile app.
- Report Stolen Cards: Report lost or stolen cards via our online banking or mobile app.
- Change PIN: Update your account PIN anytime via digital banking. Note: Our staff cannot provide your PIN.
- Change Credentials: Update your digital banking username and password via Profile & Settings in our mobile app or online banking.
- Device Security: If your device is compromised, turn it off immediately and seek professional servicing.
