Nominations
The Nominating Committee has submitted one qualified candidate for each open Board position. If there is only one nominee for each open position, no ballot will be required, and nominations will not be accepted from the floor during the Annual Meeting. In that case, the Chair may declare the nominees elected by general consent or acclamation.
Nominations by Petition
If you’d like to be considered for the Board, you may be nominated by petition. Here’s what’s required:
- Request a Petition Packet
Call 800.237.7328, ext. 2433 or email elections@psecu.com. - Collect Signatures
Have the petition signed by at least 5,449 members in good standing. - Complete Your Packet
Include the signed certificate agreeing to serve if elected. - Submit Your Petition
File the petition with the Secretary of the Credit Union by 5 PM (ET) on November 19, 2026.
Mr. Michael C. Ferster
(INCUMBENT)
Mr. Ferster has served as a member of PSECU's Board of Directors since February 2010. Additionally, Mr. Ferster has served as Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, and Assistant Treasurer of the Board of Directors. He was a PSECU Associate Director from 2007 to 2010. Mr. Ferster retired after nearly 36 years of service with Nationwide Insurance where he held positions in claims and personal lines underwriting before transitioning to an agency owner in 1985. He obtained a Master of Business Administration from Lebanon Valley College. Additionally, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Management Science from Lock Haven University and a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation from the American Institute for Property and Casualty Underwriters. Mr. Ferster is an active volunteer with various local charities. He has been a PSECU member since 1992.
Mr. Timothy D. Grunstra
(INCUMBENT)
Mr. Grunstra has served on PSECU's Board of Directors since 2012. He has previously served as Treasurer and as Secretary/Assistant Treasurer for the Board of Directors. He was a PSECU Associate Director from 2010 to 2012, prior to becoming a director. Mr. Grunstra is an Audit Principal with Brown Plus, a regional public accounting firm with five offices in the greater Central Pennsylvania area and northern Maryland, where he has worked in various capacities for the past 35 years. He provides accounting, tax, and advisory services to clients of various sizes in a wide variety of industries. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Bloomsburg University. He is also a graduate of Leadership Harrisburg Area and is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In the past, he has been active on the boards of the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank and Vision Resources of Central Pennsylvania, has been a member of the West Shore Kiwanis Club, and has volunteered for the United Way and other nonprofit organizations. He has been a PSECU member since 1989.
Ms. Leanna L. Whetstone
(INCUMBENT)
Ms. Whetstone has served on PSECU's Board of Directors since May 2019 and is currently its Secretary/Assistant Treasurer. She served as a PSECU Associate Director from 2016 to 2019. She is employed by The Hershey Company where she leads leadership capability and skill building change as Director, Learning & Development. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Business Administration from Elizabethtown College. Ms. Whetstone also holds a Master of Education from Penn State. She has been a PSECU member since 2015.
