As you read this edition of the PSECU newsletter, you’ll likely notice some changes starting to take place as part of our brand evolution. New colors, a new logo, and new ways to talk about who we are and the value we offer our members are all part of our updated look and feel. Even the name of this publication has changed – What’s New @ PSECU.
Some of you may wonder why we’re making these changes. While PSECU has strong brand and name awareness in our key service markets, we’re not always clear about our value to existing and potential members. We must clearly and concisely answer the question: “Why do business with PSECU?”
With this brand evolution, we hope to expand our reach and positively influence how we attract new members and deepen our relationships with existing members. We’ll increase public awareness on the benefits of banking with a credit union, highlight the advantages that PSECU offers members, and remind the community that while PSECU was started by state employees, today, we’re a trusted financial partner for many, many others, too.
Our new tagline, Members Achieve More, points out that we, as a not-for-profit financial cooperative, exist solely to benefit our member-owners and the communities we serve. We offer simple and straightforward products and services with no bait-and-switch tactics or hidden fees. We believe banking should be at our members’ convenience, not ours, and offer a digital-first banking model allowing our members to manage their finances anytime, anywhere, without ever having to step into a branch. We help our members make smart money decisions with guidance, tools, and resources that allow them to take charge of their financial future. At PSECU, that’s just who we are.
Of course, part of our brand evolution is also about modernizing our branding assets, bringing our look and feel into year 2020. As our strategy comes to life over the next several months, you’ll notice new colors, new fonts, new artwork, and even a slight redesign of our logo. Don’t worry though, despite the funky new look, we’re still the same great PSECU!
