PSECU’s Board of Directors and Associate Directors bring expertise, experience, and strategic thinking as they help guide and shape the future of our credit union.

The Role of PSECU’s Board 

The PSECU’s Board of Directors is committed to ensuring corporate governance that positively affects stewardship, corporate values, and strategic vision. PSECU’s Corporate Governance program consists of five key elements that form an effective Governance program.

MEET THE PSECU BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Ms. Jodi Lynne Blanch

Ms. Jodi Lynne Blanch, Chair

Ms. Blanch has served as a member of PSECU's Board of Directors since 2010 and is currently PSECU's Chair. Additionally, she served as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors and as Chair of PSECU Services, Inc. (PSI). She served as an Associate Director from 2007 until 2010. Ms. Blanch has over 19 years of experience in Human Resources and Training & Development. She is currently employed by Capital BlueCross where she oversees the Compensation, Performance Management, Recognition & HR Systems initiatives of the organization. Ms. Blanch is a graduate of Penn State University with a Master's in Education and Lebanon Valley College with a Master of Business Administration. Ms. Blanch is an active member of the United Way of the Capital Region's (UWCR) Bridges Society, which focuses on bringing together the next generation of diverse leaders (age 45 and under) to spark positive changes in the capital region. She is also a member of the United Way of the Capital Region's Women's Leadership Network, as well as the National Association of Professional Women. She also volunteers with several local charities.

Mr. Michael C. Ferster

Mr. Michael C. Ferster, Vice Chair

Mr. Ferster has served as a member of PSECU's Board of Directors since February 2010 and is currently PSECU's Vice Chair. Additionally, Mr. Ferster has served as Secretary/Assistant Treasurer of the Board of Directors. He served as a PSECU Associate Director from 2007 through 2010. Mr. Ferster retired after nearly 36 years of service with Nationwide Insurance. He held positions in claims and personal lines underwriting, transitioning to an agency owner in 1985. Mr. Ferster obtained a Master of Business Administration from Lebanon Valley College. Additionally, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Management Science from Lock Haven University and a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation from the American Institute for Property and Casualty Underwriters. Mr. Ferster is an active volunteer with various local charities. He has been a PSECU member since 1992.

Mr. Joseph A. Lawruk

Mr. Joseph A. Lawruk, Treasurer

Mr. Lawruk has served on PSECU's Board of Directors since 1981 and is currently PSECU's Treasurer. He served as Chair of PSECU's Board of Directors from 1998 until 2001. Additionally, he served as the Chair of PSECU's Audit Committee and Chair of PSECU Services, Inc. (PSI), the investment services organization for PSECU members. Mr. Lawruk is retired from the Pennsylvania Office of the Budget where he worked as Comptroller of the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board. Mr. Lawruk began his career in state government when he joined the State Treasury Department in 1978 serving as Bureau Director for Disbursements. He graduated with honors from Saint Francis University in Loretto, PA. Mr. Lawruk has been a PSECU member since 1980.

Mr. Timothy D. Grunstra, CPA

Mr. Timothy D. Grunstra, CPA, Secretary/Assistant Treasurer

Mr. Grunstra has served on PSECU's Board of Directors since 2012 and is current Secretary/Assistant Treasurer, current Chair of the BALCO committee, and past Chair of the Audit committee. He served as a PSECU Associate Director from 2010 until 2012. Mr. Grunstra is a Principal with Brown, Schultz, Sheridan & Fritz, a public accounting firm with offices in Camp Hill and Lancaster, PA, where he has worked in various capacities for the past 30 years. He provides accounting tax and advisory services to clients of various sizes in a wide variety of industries. Mr. Grunstra obtained a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Bloomsburg University. He is a member of the West Shore Kiwanis Club. In the past, he has been active on the boards of the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank and Vision Resources of Central Pennsylvania and has volunteered for the United Way and other not-for-profit organizations. He is a graduate of Leadership Harrisburg Area. Mr. Grunstra has been a PSECU member since 1989.

Ms. Kathleen A. Salmon

Ms. Kathleen A. Salmon

Ms. Salmon has served as a member of PSECU's Board of Directors since 1990. She served as PSECU's Chair of the Board of Directors from 2001 until 2006. Ms. Salmon was formerly the President of K.A. Salmon, Inc. Ms. Salmon was a Senior Vice President at Capital BlueCross from 1987 until 1997. From 1979 to 1987, she served in a variety of senior management positions with Pennsylvania Blue Shield and Capital BlueCross. Additionally, Ms. Salmon was a Commonwealth of Pennsylvania employee in the Departments of Health, Corrections, Office of Administration, and Public Welfare. Ms. Salmon earned her Master's from Penn State University and her Bachelor's in Economics from Juniata College. She is a member of the Bethany Village Residents' Council and Chair of their Care Assurance Committee; a member of the Church Council of the Shepherdstown United Methodist Church; Penn State University Alumni Association; and Juniata College Alumni Association. Ms. Salmon is also active in a variety of other community and nonprofit endeavors. Ms. Salmon has been a PSECU member since 1983.

Mr. Joseph Sassano

Mr. Joseph Sassano

Mr. Sassano has served on PSECU's Board of Directors since 2006. Mr. Sassano served as Chair of the Board of Directors from 2012 to 2018 and as Vice Chair from 2010 to 2012. He was a PSECU Associate Director from 2004 to 2006. He is the Executive Director of IT/CIO for York County Government and was the Chief Information Officer for the Pennsylvania Employees Benefit Trust Fund (PEBTF) for 16 years. Mr. Sassano is a graduate of Penn State University with a Master of Science in Information Technology and Bloomsburg University with a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems. He served as an adjunct faculty member at Penn State University in Harrisburg and Harrisburg Area Community College. Additionally, he is a member of the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania (TCCP) and the Penn State University Alumni Association. Mr. Sassano also volunteers for various organizations. Mr. Sassano has been a PSECU member since 1992.

Mr. Matthew B. Wagoner

Mr. Matthew B. Wagoner

Mr. Wagoner has served on PSECU's Board of Directors since 2018. He served as a PSECU Associate Director from 2016 until 2018. Mr. Wagoner is a teacher at Red Land High School in the West Shore School District, where he was the 2010–2011 Professional Employee of the Year. Mr. Wagoner teaches physics and Advanced Placement physics courses and advises the rocket club. He has worked on strategic planning, professional development, and curriculum writing for the district. Mr. Wagoner obtained a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Shippensburg University and a Master's from Frostburg University. Mr. Wagoner is a member of Camp Hill United Methodist Church, where he volunteers with various children's programs. Mr. Wagoner has been a PSECU member since 2016.

Ms. Shawn W. Weis

Ms. Shawn W. Weis

Ms. Weis has served on PSECU's Board of Directors since June 2017 and had served as a PSECU Associate Director from 2013 until 2017. Ms. Weis is currently employed by the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority, where she has served as Assistant Counsel since 2005. Previously, Ms. Weis served as Legal Counsel to KnowledgePlanet, Inc., an international software platform company, a Clinical Staff Professor for Penn State - Dickinson Law, Elder Law Clinic, and an Associate Attorney for Keefer Wood Allen & Rahal, LLP. Ms. Weis earned her Juris Doctor from The Dickinson School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration-Economics from Elizabethtown College. Ms. Weis is a member of Ladies First in Public Finance, Pennsylvania Bar Association, Government Lawyers Committee (Chair 2008–2009, Vice Chair 2007–2008), and Office of General Counsel (Technology Practice Group, Public Finance Practice Group, Transactions Practice Group, and Records Access Management Group). Ms. Weis has been a PSECU member since 2005.

Mr. R. Brian Wilbur

Mr. R. Brian Wilbur

Mr. Wilbur has served as a PSECU official for over 50 years. He was Chair of PSECU's Board of Directors from 2006 to 2012. Mr. Wilbur previously served as PSECU's Board Chair (1979–1983) and Vice Chair (1984–1995, 2001–2005). Additionally, he served as Chair of PSECU's Credit Committee for several years and Chair of PSECU Services, Inc. (PSI), the investment services organization for PSECU members. Mr. Wilbur retired as Assistant Director for Budget Administration after 36 years in the Office of the Budget for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He earned a Master of Governmental Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Waynesburg College, Pennsylvania. Mr. Wilbur is also active in several church personnel and finance committees. Mr. Wilbur has been a PSECU member since 1966.

Meet the PSECU Associate Board of Directors

Mr. Christopher P. Kajder

Mr. Christopher P. Kajder

Mr. Kajder was appointed a PSECU Associate Director in 2016. Mr. Kajder is currently employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue, where he serves as the Deputy Information Security Officer. Mr. Kajder has over 15 years of experience in information technology, with expertise in the areas of cybersecurity, risk management, and application development. Mr. Kajder earned his Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Slippery Rock University in 2002 and is a Certified Information Technology Manager. He is active in his community and also volunteers for various organizations. Mr. Kajder has been a PSECU member since 2003.

Ms. Leanna L. Meiser

Ms. Leanna L. Meiser

Ms. Meiser was appointed a PSECU Associate Director in 2016. She is employed by The Hershey Company where she leads the development of 250 marketers across the enterprise as the Sr. Manager, Global Marketing Training & Capabilities. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science (2001, summa cum laude and with honors) and a Master of Business Administration (2014) from Elizabethtown College. Ms. Meiser also holds a Master of Education from Penn State University (2009). She lives in Elizabethtown with her husband, Will, and their two "furry" children. Ms. Meiser has been a PSECU member since 2015.

Ms. Amanda L. Mills

Ms. Amanda L. Mills

Ms. Mills was appointed a PSECU Associate Director in 2016. Ms. Mills is currently employed by Andculture, an experience design and engineering agency in downtown Harrisburg, PA. At Andculture, Ms. Mills is part of a team that crafts experiences that resonate with users and solves business challenges. She is passionate about community and hopes to put her Leadership York experience (Leadership Training Program Class of 2014) to use as she fulfills her Associate Board Director role. Ms. Mills earned her Bachelor of Arts from Temple University's School of Communications & Theater in 2007. She has been a PSECU member since 2013.
