Winners of PSECU’s Annual Scholarship Program Announced, $48,000 in Funds Awarded for Postsecondary Education

PSECU announced today the winners of its 24th annual scholarship program. Each year, the program awards six scholarships - valued up to $8,000 each for a total of $48,000 - to graduating high school seniors to help reduce the financial burden of pursuing postsecondary education. Winners are selected based on their academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, and critical thinking and writing skills.

$10K Prize to be Awarded by PSECU to Winner of State System Startup Challenge

PSECU will sponsor the Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education State System Startup Challenge by providing the first-place prize of $10,000 during a Zoom award ceremony tomorrow, April 22. The challenge, now in its ninth year (previously dubbed the Business Plan Competition) is an opportunity for students attending one of the State System’s 14 state-owned universities to compete for prize money that can assist them in making their dreams of becoming an entrepreneur come true.

PSECU Launches Free, Personalized, Digital Financial Education Tool

On February 26, PSECU issued a statement outlining precautions taken to mitigate any potential risk of Coronavirus contamination at its Harrisburg headquarters. These precautionary actions were taken based on concerns that an employee had been in contact with an individual who may have been exposed to the virus after travel to Italy.

Local Families Invited to Learn about Money Management at Upcoming Financial Reality Fair at Harrisburg Academy

How much does it really cost to buy your groceries, rent and furnish your apartment, or care for your dog? Can you afford to pay for your dream car on a starting salary, or will you have to compromise? Is it realistic to splurge on a shopping spree or a day at the spa? These are just a few of the questions that students in grades 7-12, accompanied by their parents, will be faced with during participation in a Financial Reality Fair sponsored by PSECU on February 29. Held on campus at Harrisburg Academy from 1-3 p.m., this event is free and open to the public, and will offer participating students what may prove to be a much-needed, real-world financial management, and personal budgeting simulation.
